The couple’s personalities are opposite – it was evident during the production meeting and even during the previous Facebook and Yahoo! Messenger chats. Michelle is full of life while Eric is silent. As Michelle gives her energetic instructions for the same day edit wedding video, Eric simply smiles and listens.
But on the day wedding preparations, to some extent Michelle was not bubbly. I’ve seen a lot of brides and they tend to act differently during the wedding due to mixed emotions and excitement. Now the challenge was how to make the same day edit wedding video look fun that best describe the bride. This was a requirement actually by her.
On the other hand, Eric was still quiet but his entourage changed the atmosphere. Cheerful messages were given during the interviews that have eventually made the same day edit wedding video interesting.
The wedding was held last February 15, 2010 at the Santuario de San Antonio. And the on-the-day wedding preparation and reception was at Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

The first Yahoo! Messenger chat with Beatrice Peter seemed too be good to be true. In all the negotiations involved, my demands, the rates, etc., she never did oppose me. She agreed to all of them. Only when she announced that she will fly to Manila to meet me was I convinced that it was for real.
Beatrice and Alex Chua are Catholic Christians from Sabah Malasian Borneo. It was my first encounter of a foreign couple who wanted to get married in Manila.
The church wedding was held last 9-9-09 at San Agustin Church in Manila and the wedding reception was held last 1-29-10 at Shangri-la Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
I prepared a wedding video highlight of the Manila wedding, which was shown at the Malaysian reception as one of the evening highlights. But in the morning of January 29, I decided to incorporate the tea ceremony in the video, knowing doing an interview with the couple will make the presentation more personal and unique. So instantly we were doing a same day edit wedding video.
The video presentation indeed was a success. It was something first done in Sabah. Thanks to Beatrice and Alex who envisioned to introduce something different for their wedding and for their visitors. Had it not been their desire to present a new concept of presenting a video presentation, I would not have been able to get to Malaysia.

It makes me think what else I could possibly share upon doing same date wedding videos for already a hundred times. It was before a long silence in front of my computer that I realized that there is still something that could be told of same day edit wedding videos after encountering Ryan and Jihan’s grand and glorious wedding.
People were touched with the exchange of personal vows of the couple. The prayers and the messages by the officiating minister was indeed an inspiration. Who will not fall in love when the scenic ceremony by the lake turned more romantic when the place transformed from daylight to sundown to of the night?
Knowing that people are touched again when watching the same day edit wedding video at the reception pleases and makes me feel successful in the very essence of documenting such wedding event. This is more than just a good wedding video; it’s all about inspiring and touching lives.
An SMS from Ryan and Jihan telling me that more people were touched after showing the same day edit wedding video in an after wedding party delighted us more.
Ryan and Jihan wedding was held last January 23, 2010 at The Lakeshore, Pampanga.

UPDATE: Testimonial from Ryan and Jihan originally posted at buddygancenia.com
Hi Buddy,
This is a long overdue testimonial but would still like to let you know that we really appreciated all the work you put into our wedding and in delivering the final output. It’s almost nine months now but we still love to revisit the videos you made every now and then. Not a few of our friends cry again and again whenever they see the onsite video. The latter perfectly captured the emotions and the story that we wanted to preserve and share.
More power to you and to your team!
Cheers!

Darwin de Leon and Lani Banaag wedding. January 10, 2010. Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club, Lipa City, Batangas.
I and my daughter Yael collaborated for another same day edit wedding video INNOVATION. Yup, she did the interviews and writing. Here is her behind the scene story.
The couples we interviewed were surprised when we asked the question ‘how did you meet’. They were like, “Pardon? Oh, us?” Nevertheless, they undeniably answered the questions with enthusiasm as they relive their own ‘kilig moments’.
The inspiration for this same day edit wedding video was the music video of 1,2,3,4 by Plain White T’s. With no intention, the onsite video turned out to be pieces of advices from the personal experiences of the interviewed couples. We also believe that we achieved the raw approach as in the music video.
And for the perfect ending, was the bride and groom’s fascinating love story, as unlikely as it is, of being neighbors for almost 23 years but meeting not once.

28 December 2009. My uncle Gil and Auntie Rosing celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at St. Joseph Parish Church in our home town Balungao, Pangasinan.
Uncle Gil is the younger brother of my father. Early this morning, my mother who is based in the states called, and was too excited on the updates regarding the wedding. The rest of the Gancenia family was unaware that December 28 is actually the wedding anniversary of my parents, and was supposedly also celebrating the golden anniversary if only my father is still in this world today. Uncle Gil and Auntie Rosing got married on January 28, 1960, a month after my parents’ wedding. The wedding was celebrated a month earlier because of the best availability of everybody from the 1st family.
My works for the same day edit wedding video started form choosing the right music. After two hours of researching in my music library, I stumbled upon John Denver’s For You. I got the feeling the music will be loved by my uncle. True enough, he is familiar with John Denver and love the song.
I also decided to interview my cousins to be included in the edit. The interview lasted for almost an hour recorded running time, more than enough insights I needed for the video. I got so many touching stories from their childhood like when kuya Rommel was 4 years old, and his parents gave him a bath as every parent enjoyed and appreciated their kids. Kuya Rogel also shared, he often see his parents spend time praying together inside the mosquito net at night.
Lots of inspiration too from ate Nanette as she inspired her siblings to excel, strive and succeed as poverty is not a hindrance to succeed in life. Who will not burst into tears when Kuya Rhoel admits his mistakes by disobeying his parents when he was still a teenager, added that he fully understand them now as he himself is a parent?
And finally, they all expressed their thank you’s to their parents by giving them the best gift – the 50th golden wedding anniversary celebration.
It was an overwhelming experience creating a video for your own family. A bit sad this will not happen to my parents, but given the chance to do it for my uncle gave me the feeling that I already did the same with my parents.

A day after Christmas, internet superstars Aileen Apolo and Jay de Jesus tied the knot at the Mary The Queen Parish Church in Greenhills. The who’s who in the Philippine blogsphere attended the wedding. Janette Toral was among the principal sponsors, who introduced the two during one of the Digital Filipino events. Aileen is the Philippines’ country consultant for Google, while Jay is the owner of TitikPilipino.com.
We prepared two videos for the wedding. First was the prenup love story wedding video and the same day edit wedding video featuring the highlights of the on-the day wedding preps and the ceremony highlights.
Prenup wedding video:
The prenup video was inspired from the movie “500 Days of Summer”. Aileen and Jay’s love story wedding video was entitled “800 Clicks” – well, the couple, as we all know spend most of thier time online. The first click was the first meeting and the 800th click was the wedding day.
Same Day Edit wedding video:
As early ay 4:30am we were already at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for the wedding preps. Only then we decided what music to be used for the same day edit wedding video. Jay’s first choice was the Araw Gabi by Robert Sena but we didn’t have the copy, so we decided to look for an alternative from his CDs. There we saw Richard Poon’s revival of “You and I”. I personally love this song. In fact, it was one of the songs sung during our own wedding, and I was surprised it has a version by Richard Poon.
Jay suggested to use 2 versions, the one with the lyrics and the minus one. It was a great idea. I used the minus one version during the interview portions to avoid distractions and viewers can concentrate on the message more than the lyrics. Though it requred more effort during the editing process, it was effective and worth the effort. For so many wedding videos I produced and so many brides I interviewed, only Aileen surprised me when she mentioned that she had this dream of walking down the aisle for so many times for a decade but she never saw who was the groom waiting for her at the end of the aisle. Until one day she dreamt that it was Jay, then after that dream, the relationship started to blossom.

Normally a prenup video is a day location shooting. But for Nino and Olga’s prenup video, it took us 4 days in Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. This definitely gives edges over my other prenup wedding videos.
I admit I was a bit pressured with Nino, since he wanted me to produce something I’m not known for. He wanted me to create cinematic music video instead of my forte, the documentary-reality wedding video. I was forced to visit other wedding videographers’ websites to meet his requirements. This is to make sure we have the same expectations, and then I applied my own style.
I’m so happy with the outcome. I’m so satisfied to the point I showed this to my daugher Yael and she shared it, adding “I must learn how to make something this ‘super-awesome’.”
Wedding Day:
Nino was hands on in all aspects of the wedding not to mention the wedding videos. He contributed a lot in shooting the product shots. Even during the reception, he approached me to remind me that he wanted the fireworks to be included in the same day edit wedding video.
We’ll not forget this couple. Nino and Olga – simply the best.

It was August 27 when we shot the prenup wedding video of Jing and Dianne in Batangas. As early as 6am, we were already in Valintino Resort and Spa in San Jose, Batangas. It’s my second time to shoot in this place, first introduced to me by Ricky and Michelle. The pool site, the hanging bride and the spa are magnificent. At noon time we all agreed to have a sunset footage so we decided to travel to Juan, Batangas to look for beaches. Then we found La Luz Beach Resort. It is not actually a spectacular place but after looking around, I found nice spots that will look really nice on video. That’s the magic of video – it can transform not so good things into extra-ordinary ones.
After that, we waited an hour or so until it was completely dark. We set up an interview at the shore. I wanted to capture the sounds of the waves and wind during the interview. The water in the background was partially lighted and serves as the background while we set up a bonfire that served as the foreground. Yup, the interview is romantic indeed.
Wedding Day:
After the sucess of Batibot Themed Same Day Edit Wedding Video, more and more grooms are getting involved in the conceptualization of the same day edit wedding video. During our pre-production meeting days before the wedding, Jing wanted to have something like the movie “The Hangover” by Justin Bartha. Dianne approved the idea. It was imposible to shot tracking scenes in the hi-way while the groom and his entourage were getting dressed, and or one of the groomsmen was missing a tooth, right? So we did our own version of The Hangover.
It was fun shooting this same day edit wedding video and it was a sucess, too, when it was showed at the reception.

Christian weddings are always moving. I even asked Jojo and Leni where their very sensible messages come from during the interviews for the Love story wedding video, Same Day Edit Wedding Video and for the post wedding interview for the final edited video. They said if it’s coming from the heart, truly your messages are noteworthy.
The couple was consistently telling inspiring stories. As leaders of their church in Dubai, Jojo and Leni wanted to share their love story as a living testimony.
Most of the words in their wedding vows and messages were in deep Filipino. They sounded romantic.

Last month, I got a call from Inah. It was surprising because soon-to-wed couples normally book their wedding videographer at least 6 months before the wedding. Soon-to wed couples today have changed their behavior not just towards wedding videography, but also in booking other wedding suppliers. Why? The wedding industry is rapidly growing and more and more wedding suppliers come around.
Before Inah called, she’s done her research already; she knows what she wanted for her wedding video. She watched my wedding videos including Former PNP Chief Art Lomibao and Jacky Tui’s wedding. You know what? Inah’s dad is the current PNP Chief of Caloocan City.
Khalil and Inah were among our few young couples with very minimal specifications for their wedding video, yet, very happy with the result. Watch the same day edit wedding video.
