I’ve already done many love story wedding videos for couples with long distance relationships – so yes, many times I’ve seen long distance relationships work! Mitchel and Lux is the newest addition to the Reality Wedding Video couples with this full of hope love story.

Mitchel is based in Dubai, while Lux is based in New York, but it was my first time to hear a couple talking over the phone for 48 hours, literally – they eat together, sleep together, work together while talking and still on the phone. How much could their phone bills could have cost? But it’s what eased the hardship they were going through, they didn’t anymore care about the bills.

What I love about doing love story wedding videos is that you get to know your client better. Even better than the wedding coordinators and all other suppliers. One lesson any other couple should learn from a love story like Mitchel and Lux’s is to hold on no matter what, believe in your love for each other.

We will show you the suspense and drama when it rained at San Diego Gardens in Intramuros, the wedding ceremony venue and how Mitchel managed. The wedding was held last May 22, 2011.

Why in the Philippines? Alex and Beatrice, both Malaysians, have decided to be wed at San Agustin Church last September 9, 2009 at 9am. The reason? It’s simple: Alex and Beatrice are Christian Catholics. They were greatly attracted to the churches in Manila, specially San Agustin Church.

Beatrice first contacted me as early as March of this year, from then on, we became constant Yahoo! Messenger and Facebook buddies. Two weeks before the wedding, I met Alex and Beatrice in Manila to help them find a photographer, gown designer, florist, bridal car and restaurant reservations. Would you believe that I even decided the menu for the reception at Barbara’s in Intramuros? It was really cool.

Anyways, 9.9.9 came and I instantly became a wedding coordinator. It’s quite hard doing wedding videography while coordinating. Whew…But since Alex and Beatrice and party was just a small group, it’s not hard to handle the wedding prep and wedding ceremony.

The reception was so simple because a grand reception will be happening on January in Malaysia, which I’m going to document also. The reception at Barbara’s was more on a simple lunch treat of the couple for their guests, but surprisingly, it was fun. I’m so amazed on how they celebrate such occasions. It’s entirely different from the way we celebrate. Well, I don’t understand most of the conversations, but I was surprised that so many Filipino words are used by them also.

The best part were the events after the wedding. Me and my family were also at the hotel to accompany them for the shopping around the Metro, dinner at Kamayan-Saisaki, and of course, the tattoo sessions. Thanks to Led Tuyay of Kamikazee for the tattoo artist who agreed to come over at the hotel.

So many more stories to tell but I guess I have to end it here. To Alex and Beatrice, when I go to Malaysia, I hope I will not get lost in your malls, too, LOL.

Jencel was a co-worker at ABS-CBN. We used to call her Jenga. She worked as a segment producer for Victim Undercover and I was the master editor. So most of the time, we spent long hours at the editing bay. During coffee breaks, we talk about life. Ah, one of our unforgettable talks was my plan to produce a documentary about the trading traditions at the fish fort in Malabon. Jengga was so willing to help me for the project. But, the docu did not materialize. We then eventually lost contact.

Then one day I got a message from my blog. Yup, Jennga is getting married!!! And I’m doing her wedding videos…

Joe and Marion’s love story started 13 years ago in UP Diliman, they attended the Silver Anniversary of the Philippine Society of Youth Science Club. Marion a delegate from Cotabato City while Joe from Ilo-ilo City.

It was a 1 week camp and yes, it can be said as a 1 week love affair. Find out how the simple “Hi” and “Hello” develop into years of courtship, 8 years long distance relationship and 12 years of love put into test. But without a doubt, they brought out in them only the best.
