Forever by Chris Brown, our version of the JK Wedding Entrance Dance.

Who doesn’t know about the video of the very wacky and one of a kind bridal march of the couple dancing to this song that had spread all over YouTube? That was what I remembered when Che and Prince told me the music they wanted for their Same Day Edit was Forever by Chris Brown. A song like it is very rarely used in a wedding video and being Filipinos, we aren’t really that much daring to do something like in the video mentioned above. It felt kind of off to me.

Later, though, it turned out to perfectly fine. The video was light and funny. The couples’ friends and relatives were fun people, and the choice of song just matched it all. Our concept of a “reality wedding video” showed, too.

10.10.10. I guess every wedding supplier has their own wedding event on that day, and we all know the reason. But for Lory and Rea, this is very significant day for them since this year is their 10th anniversary as a couple, which is why we had a dinner date scene for the prenup wedding video with a cake as our props.

Okay let’s discuss the prenup shooting in Subic. We didn’t have much planning about the location, we just discussed it during the pre-production meeting as a potential location, and then that’s it.

We had a stop at the middle of SCTEX to establish a travel scene. Most of the places we went to were familiar places but we didn’t have prior arrangements for the shooting. However we had good timing allowing us to shoot our requirements without so much hassle. I love the ice cream scene, the beach, the balloon, and the dinner scene. By accident we were able to spot an elevated area overlooking Subic. It was a private subdivision, and the guard just allowed us to enter, probably mistaking us for homeowners. Of all the scenes taken, I love this one the most because it is a magnificent location.

Wedding in Iloilo

this is something I like about an out of town wedding. I have the time to take footages arriving at the city at least a day before the wedding. The rehearsal at the church was documented too. I can say the wedding day turned out smooth specially that we were staying in that same hotel where the on-the wedding preparations and reception took place, making our same day editing strategic.

I love the concept combining the prenup and same day edit wedding video. I will be making more videos like this with my up-coming wedding events.

In this same day edit wedding video, you will notice how super cool Dennis had been during the wedding. In his interviews, he was always fun. This is entirely the opposite of when you meet Dennis the first time. I’m waiting for Chona’s moments during the interview. She was very much composed and it seemed her wedding day was as relaxed as an ordinary corporate day for her.

The wedding was held last September 21, 2010. The ceremony was at Iglesia Ni Kristo Central Temple. The on-the-day preparation was at the Oakwood Hotel in Ortigas while the reception was at the Gazebo Royale in Quezon City.

Believe me – we had this special treatment for this couple! I believe the Same Day Edit Wedding Video was a simple and light – yet heartfelt – video presentation. Joseph and Lourdes being a close friend of our cousin Aira, we had this instant feeling of closeness with them. Of course, we are always like this toward our other clients, but this couple was different. We were more like a big brother and a big sister to them. In fact, Joseph calls my wife, Cathy, using her private family nickname.

So much stories to tell but I would just summarize it by sharing Lourdes’ testimony in my Facebook wall. Here it is.

The wedding was held last July 24. Wedding day preps at the Pacific Wave in San Jose Del Monte City in Bulacan. Chruch ceremony at the St. Peter Church in Commonwealth, Quezon City. And Wedding reception at The Garden also in Quezon City.

Alex and Julie were present during my first wedding coverage ever. That was Anselme and Cathy’s wedding way back in January 2005.  I still remember joking with them, saying it was like their prenup shooting while we take shots of them in that wedding. 5 years later, I’m glad Alex and Julie still remember us.

Aina on the day wedding prep was stress free. Why? She was so cool and was just enjoying her day, no worrier of the event details. It was her advantage being a celebrity to act so natural in front of the cameras. Not to mention her friends and family members adding to the fun for the moment.

For the brides out there, the secret in making your groom relaxed and keep him talking than the usual is let him have some shot of hard drink together with his entourage. Joe was more at ease than what we, the video team, expected during the wedding preps.

The glass Garden was a perfect place for wedding rites as well as for the reception.

The couple’s personalities are opposite – it was evident during the production meeting and even during the previous Facebook and Yahoo! Messenger chats. Michelle is full of life while Eric is silent. As Michelle gives her energetic instructions for the same day edit wedding video, Eric simply smiles and listens.

But on the day wedding preparations, to some extent Michelle was not bubbly. I’ve seen a lot of brides and they tend to act differently during the wedding due to mixed emotions and excitement. Now the challenge was how to make the same day edit wedding video look fun that best describe the bride. This was a requirement actually by her.

On the other hand, Eric was still quiet but his entourage changed the atmosphere. Cheerful messages were given during the interviews that have eventually made the same day edit wedding video interesting.
