I asked Kaysie why a morning wedding. She said all her life she seldom saw the sunrise and so she wanted to see it on her wedding. 4am, we were already at Taal Vista for the on the day wedding preps. Since Kaysie wanted to see the crack of dawn on her wedding day, I took a lock frame shot of the sunrise as the opening video of the Same Day Edit Wedding Video. I also asked Teody to have a video shoot at the Taal volcano as the background just after the first light.

10am was the ceremony at the Caleruega Church while lunch reception was at the Splindido Tagaytay.

The same day edit wedding video became striking not only because of the beautiful wedding but because of Adel himself making every moment on cam funny. I remember what Janice said during one of our pre production meetings: just capturing Adel on cam as funny as he is in person will fulfill his only requirement in the entire production of the wedding video.

A month before the wedding, we had our production meeting. Tian have so many ideas not just for the wedding video but as well as other wedding details. I love his idea for the door opening for the bride entrance (Watch the video to see how romantic and magical the plan was).

As expected, the couple was expecting reality treatment for the same day edit wedding video, something more than the usual same day edit. Well I’m proud that that’s one of the reasons why our clients book us, they wanted unique wedding video presentations. And so Tian made sure we have this teaser situationers using Batibot theme to make their wedding video fun, or I should say, make the wedding video actually funny.

It was a challenge because couples’ request is always our priority, but at the same time, I don’t want my wedding videos appear neither slapsticks nor baduy (bad taste). But I believe we have this “something”, whatever we do, a drama or comedy wedding video, our work always defect elegance.

By the way, thanks to Yvette Tan, friend an a former workmate at ABS-CBN whom recommended us to the couple. Yvette was the maid of honor. Now you know why she has lots of exposure. LOL

The most poetic wedding vow written for Same Day Edit Wedding Video. Written by John Paul and Dyaneh. Here it goes…

On the wedding day:
Dyaneh: We want to be fully conscious that a wedding is not just a day. It’s not just an event, but a holy sacrament and a beautifully conceived process that we would do a thousand times over.

John Paul: In this day of our love’s wonderful unfolding, we forget all about loneliness or aloneness. We’re at the highest scale of happiness. We’ve gone through highs and we’re settling down.

And if something screws up today, that only means we will have something to laugh about 20 years from now.

On the wedding preparations:
Dyaneh: We’ve prepared for a year and our preparations gave us a good stash of memories. We made a lot of choices, discerning choices, imagined what’s possible, and it led to this quiet little beautiful spectacle.

John Paul: Every decision we made about the wedding, every idea she conceived made me love Dyaneh more. Everything from envelope linings, to place cards or escort cards, table numbers, menu cards, to her choice of table-top flowers, she never ceases to amaze me with how everything she touches becomes wonderful.

Dyaneh: Happiness consists in realizing it is all a great strange dream.’ It’s how we honestly feel now as we look back into our life together and everything that happened. And it’s how we want to see the dreamy future ahead.

John Paul: The greatest, the most profound joy of the day is sharing our scores of solemnity and glee to our guests–to all those who came on board with us in this blissful trip.

On the Church:
Dyaneh: Being in Caleruega again reaffirms our decision to get married here – the view of Mt. Batulao is spectacular, the flowers are in bloom, and you slip into an instant transformation towards serenity and sincerity.

John Paul: When I was young I had a lot of retreats and recollections in Calereuga. It left an indelible imprint and it still leaves me positively awed. Aside from spiritual redemption, it’s a wonderful church to make and fulfill promises, to say, like James Joyce in Ulysses, yes I will, yes.

Final Message to Dyaneh:
Let’s never be tired of being this happy. I love you with a love that is certain. I love you with a love that can never be equated.

Final Message to John Paul:
Let’s just go, unafraid of where our dreams, where the wind would take us. Let’s ride in this tide of excitement, in this air of bliss. I love you with a love that grows with greater intensity each day. I love you to bits.

Another milestone in my career as a Philippine Wedding Videographer. This is my first non-music video same day edit production and I’m proud that this was again the first in the Philippine Wedding scene. We normally inject reality scenes and interviews for our same day edit productions but not as a 100% reality-documentary. In this video, music was entirely just a scoring. The video is a montage of interviews of the couple, family members and guests stating various propositions of “love”. And why not? after all, it’s Valentines Day and the video was consistent with the theme ” A Valentine Wedding Date”.
