I’ve been blogging wedding events for quite sometime now and today I thought of blogging our own wedding, after all its our 13th wedding anniversary.

To Kay, my wife, as I’m always telling you, I can’t imagine living life without you (taken from one of our clients’ wedding vow). Yes, after 13 years of blood, sweat and tears…(again taken from another client’s

wedding vow) all we need is love (taken from our latest client’s wedding).

But the best reason in blogging about our anniversary was the letter we received from our eldest daughter Yael. Here it goes…

Beloved Mom and Dad,

I always thought of you as a cute couple despite of your ages. I can see that your romance still hasn’t yet faded though you always say it does so. Well, I wish that you can still find happiness with each other even with us and without us later.

It’s your humor Dad, and your cheerfulness Mom, that make things seem perfect and safe. It’s your practicality Mom, and your idealism Dad, that balance and make things right. It’s your wits Mom, and your smarts Dad, that help us get through almost anything.

I thank God I have Buddy Gancenia, the wedding videographer/director/writer (yes)/ producer/ cook (yes) as my techie Dad. And Catherine Gancenia, a reason why we’re still happy and surviving, as my Mom.

This, a letter of flattering words of truth, I wrote for you to thank you guys for everything. We’ll always stay together. Happy Anniversary!

Rommel Pangan and Len Len Dela Cruz Wedding. 13 December 2008. Prep at Holiday Inn Edsa, Church Rites at Santo Domingo Parish.

Rommel and Len Len became friends way back in college, they were part of the school publication. Since the beginning Rommel had the feelings towards Len Len but he kept it to himself.

I met Rommel the first time during the preps on the wedding day, it was Len Len who booked us during one of the Themes and Motifs bridal fairs. When Rommel started telling his story over the interview, I immediately understood where he’s coming from.

15 years later after college, they got a chance to see each other again. This time Rommel told himself, he will not let go of Len Len again.

For me, preparing a wedding is one of the most stressful events in a person’s life, and birthday party is next to wedding. However, Angel and Maricar celebrated a wedding and double birthday celebration. Yes, It was Angel’s birthday on their wedding day while Maricar’s birthday is on December 8. For Angel and Maricar, getting married on their birthdays makes the occasion more special and meaningful. Well this was what exactly captured in video.

Ron Cortez and Susie Manalang Wedding. 27 September 2008. We were the first supplier to arrive at Dona Jovina Resort. We had breakfast with Ron and Susie before shooting started. During the prep, John Ong and Loi Villarama and Ms. Aaron of Madge the make-up Studio were talking about make-up. Well it was John who did the make-up for Ron…

Sometimes situation is not favorable for us. But surprisingly, everything was perfect that day. We didn’t had that much effort in producing good footages. According to our team members, maybe it was because of the good breakfast… Thanks Ron and Susie!!!

Iglesia Ni Kristo Church in Pansol, Laguna is just a kilometer away from the preparation and reception resort.

Oh by the way, not to mention the lunch date with Ron and Susie at Trinoma a day before they went back to Malaysia. Cathy and I gained another new friend…

We are producing Philippine Wedding videos for the last 4 years and it was always a dream for us to cover a golden wedding anniversary. Finally last September 20, 2008 we had our first: The 50th Wedding Anniversary of Pastor Bienvenido and Mrs. Gertrudes Sebastian at the Church of the Risen Lord and reception at Bahay ng Alumni at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

This AVP is about the love story of the couple, family life and the secrets of lasting marriage, narrated by the couple’s grand child Phoebe Sebastian.

If there will be a Sony Wedding Video competition today, this video will be my entry. Compared to my winning piece last year (Ricky Hernandez and Michelle Catindig wedding) that was presented in a very light manner, this video was edited the most dramatic I can imagine that will definitely make you cry.

Musical scoring was selected carefully to ensure the “drama” will be enhanced in the edit, as the couple shares their thoughts the importance of getting married in the church after 17 years of waiting. The groom, General Manny Carta explains that the memories could not be the same as what had happened during their wedding if they got married earlier in their life.

Among the well-wishers in this video are PNP Chief Sonny Razon and some of the high ranking officials of the Philippine National Police, some members of the PMA Class 1974, friends, family members as well as some of the Philippine wedding suppliers like Edwin Tuyay and Ellen Tuyay of EPhoto Gallery and Hollywood based designer Ariel Agasang.

September 16, Manila Hotel. The VIP night: a pre-wedding party of General Manny and Mrs. Annie Carta. The party was a gift from Mrs. Claire Cardenas, one of the principal sponsors. Close friends and family members who attended the party witnessed a Fashion Show by Ariel Agasang House of Couture USA. There was a Mini-Concert and lots of dancing too. The party was organized by Mediabiz Production headed by Melanie Zambrano.

Last March we covered the wedding of Former PNP Chief Art Lomibao. This time we covered another wedding of a PNP high ranking official, the wedding of Police Deputy Director General EMMANUEL CARTA and Mrs. Annie Carta.

“You and I” by Petula Clark, the music used in this onsite video reminds us ( me and Cathy ) of our wedding…Why? It was one of the music sung during our wedding rites.
